Vivian and Jiaying are two of our closest friends, and when we learned that Vivian was pregnant, our joys for them was indescribable! So when we drove up for Vivian’s baby shower a couple of weekends ago, we had to take her maternity pictures for her. We set up a small temporary studio at their warehouse in Mountain View, and instead of using strobes, we tried something different. By strategically placing 6 to 7 regular floor lamps and table lamps of different heights in the studio, we were able to create this warm glow in the space around Vivian and Jiaying and achieved a somewhat unique feel. It was a short session, but it was lots of fun! We also added some industrial feelings to some of the pictures when we shot outdoor in the back of their warehouse. It does not get much better than this when you get to work with one of your best friends and try to capture something special for them!
