We went to baby Dylan’s grandparents’ house for the shoot. Everyone was there. The lighting was great, and we got some beautiful shots right there in the living room.

Melissa grew up in Los Angeles California and Mark grew up in Sydney Austria. After working in the corporate world for a few years Mark decided to take a break and teach English in Japan. And Melissa? After graduating from UCSD, she also decided to teach English in Japan. And fate would put both of them in a small, semi-rural place south of Osaka called Wakayama. That was where they met and fell in love.
They have now lived in Sydney for the past 3+ years.
When we had our first meeting, it was over Skype using video conference. Mark is funny and Melissa is sweet. Great couple!
We shot their engagement session in Palos Verdes just a few days before their wedding here in Los Angeles. Here are some of the shots we got:
Blake’s grandpa was having a birthday picnic in Griffith Park, and we were there to capture Blake’s whole family enjoying a nice afternoon. Blake’s parents, uncle and auntie, cousins and grandma were all there. It’s so cute that they even picked the color of their clothing in unison!
